Samantha was born and raised in Detroit, MI and received her Doctorate of Physical therapy in 2012 from Wayne State University. She has over ten years of experience in different physical therapy specialties, and has also worked in multiple different states across the country. Dr. Burgess is also certified and trained in electrical dry needling, spinal manipulation and vestibular rehabilitation. She is also a current orthopedic and manual physical therapy fellow in training. Being a former basketball, volleyball, and soccer player enables her to bring a unique approach to athletic rehabilitation. She continues to have a passion for staying active and fit as much as possible. Dr. Burgess has treated clients from ages 5-110 years of age in her career and enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, attending sporting events, playing basketball and volleyball, as well as snowboarding.
